January Celebrations

Jan 29, 2024

Here at Rockton we like to celebrate all things, big and small, that bring joy to our lives. We thought it would be fun to share our January celebrations with you and hopefully spread the joy around! Here are a few things the Rockton family celebrated this month.

Michelle

We celebrated my youngest son’s 21st birthday.
I am thankful for a warm campfire on a cold night camping.
I am thankful for the kindness of strangers.
I am thankful for the hard times in my life because it helps me appreciate the good times.
I am thankful for the time I spent with the people who are no longer in my life.
I am thankful for the ability to learn something new.
I am thankful for sadness because it helps me better understand what I really care about.

Mike

I think one thing I am grateful with January, it’s the month to just catch your breath and reflect on the year to come. With all the holidays near the end of the year, it can be easy to get caught up in the moment. But January comes and you can kind of look back over the last year, and allow yourself to look forward and give yourself a chance to refresh.

Also as a football fan, I always appreciate the start of the NFL playoffs, and while my Broncos continue to struggle and once again missed them this year, the household still celebrates them!

Blake

I am celebrating the snow! It’s been a slow start to the ski season in the Colorado Rockies this year, but we have a few big storms in the forecast and I am looking forward to enjoying the powder.

Kris

I’m celebrating the mild winter vibes in ND this year, along with the stunning winter sunsets that have been a true delight! The pictures, though they try, only manage to capture a fraction of the beauty.
I’m grateful for my hockey family getting back together each winter season! This is just part of the crew that has been together and cheering on our team for over 20 years. From attending games together when the kids were just babies to now, it’s a blast to see the next generation joining in and expanding as they bring their friends into the mix. Love these shared moments with friends and family!

Jenn

This Minnesota girl is grateful for the first snowfall of the year. A fresh coat of white snow makes everything feel fresh, bright, and new.

Kelli

I’m celebrating a return to normal post-covid with the relaunching of our annual winter ISV gathering in a warm location. This year we spent a few days in Cancun with our good friends Chris and Melissa Dobkins of Njevity, Pam and Mike Burnham of Panatrack, Nils Rasmussen of Solver, and Randy and Jennifer Smith of Vicinity Manufacturing. A number of our friends were unable to attend this year, but it was so good to reconnect with those that made it. Love this GP community!
