User may receive the message ‘Diagnostics are not available for the line selected’ when clicking the View Diagnostics button on a Sales document line in Acumatica.
More Information
The message will typically appear in one of two scenarios:
- There is no diagnostic ID ( relating to the particular log ). You may also see the message ‘RPM was unable to find a price with the values inputted’, meaning RPM was not able to run fully to find a price.
- The log is no longer available in RPM
In Scenario 1, if a price is found, this is would not appear. This will typically only appear if something prevented RPM from running to find a price. A Diagnostic Log should still be available in RPM itself for this transaction, and would be viewable from there.
In Scenario 2, there could be a system job that purges the log files after x number of days and the log in question has been removed.
A manual purge of logs could also have been done, so the log is no longer available
A few options for Scenario 2 could be:
- Can try to recalc the document/line
- Create a new ‘test’ document with the same information. This should return the same price and then have a log available
- Create a Price Test Scenario in RPM to see what price is returned/create a diagnostic log
