Why does the Report E-mail Queue show “Waiting for File”, then sit idle?
The Report E-mail Queue window will process and close on its own, but may take two to three minutes to do so. That happens as a result of a timed process that runs every minute or two. The timed process forces the click of the Process button on this window. So, your patience is needed for that timed process to execute.
Try the process again, waiting at least three full minutes so it can process. Also, you can look at the GP Process Monitor to see if the timed process is running. You need to select Timed Tasks in the drop-down at the top. The task is named DRM Timer Queue.
