Can Omni Price use a Markdown rather than changing the Unit Price?

Can Omni Price use a Markdown rather than changing the Unit Price?  Omni Price can use the Markdown field to show a discount. This can be achieved as a Markdown Amount or as a Markdown Percentage. Omni Price can also change the Account used for the Markdown distribution so that the discounts for a particular contract can be tracked in the General Ledger.
