Product compatibility with Dynamics GP Web Client

Subject:

The information here describes which of our products can be used with Dynamics GP Web Client on versions 2013 and later.

Information:

All of our products can be used with Dynamics GP Web Client with the exception of our Dynamics Report Manager (DRM) product. This exception is due to not having a client to install the DRM Engine into on the Web Client.

SmartFill:
SmartFill will work on the Web Client. But, please keep in mind that due to the current functionality of check-boxes and radio buttons in the Web Client for Dynamics GP that the setup of any Objects or Lookups in the Repository will need to be done on a Desktop Client.  This is more of a Dynamics GP issue and not specific to SmartFill. The SmartFill Lookups, though, will work in the Web Client.

Auditor:
Auditor will work on the Web Client. But, please keep in mind that due to the current functionality of check-boxes and radio buttons in the Web Client for Dynamics GP that most of the Audits and E-Signatures will need to be done on a Desktop Client. This is more of a Dynamics GP issue and not specific to Auditor. The Audits, though, will still capture changes that are done in the Web Client.

Dynamics GP Toolbox:
Most of the Dynamics GP Toolbox tools will work on the Web Client. But, please keep in mind that due to the current functionality of check-boxes and radio buttons in the Web Client for Dynamics GP that the setup of any tools will most likely need to be done on a Desktop Client. This is more of a Dynamics GP issue and not specific to Dynamics GP Toolbox.  Most activities, such as Period Open/Close, clearing locked users, etc., that are usually done by the Administrator will need to be done on the Desktop Client.

Dynamics Report Manager:
Dynamics Report Manager does not work with the Web Client at this time.  The reports do not launch appropriately from the Web Client, therefore, Dynamics Report Manager will need to be used from within a Desktop Client.

Omni Price:
Omni Price will work on the Web Client. But, please keep in mind that due to the current functionality of check-boxes and radio buttons in the Web Client for Dynamics GP that any Contract setup or the Import/Export of Contracts will need to be done on a Desktop Client.  This is more of a Dynamics GP issue and not specific to Omni Price. The Pricing, though, will be calculated and you are able to do a Price Check in the Web Client.

Notes:

There are two settings in the Dex.ini file that indicate the Web Client is installed on a machine. They are as follows:

EnablePerUserIni=TRUE

WebConfigure=TRUE
