RPM – What’s New in Acumatica

When viewing Price Diagnostics on a transaction in the ERP, you can now change the Diagnostic Logging Level directly from a new drop-down in the Price Diagnostics window. Any change made in the ERP is immediately synced back to RPM and updates the Diagnostic Logging Level on the RPM Settings page, making it faster to increase or reduce logging without leaving the transaction.

The RPM ACU Connector now supports the optional Acumatica Modern UI, allowing RPM functionality to be used in environments where the Modern UI experience is enabled.

A new ERP Users entity has been added to RPM Core under ERP Data. ERP Users can be synchronized into RPM and used in Filters, while also helping support alert-driven workflows. This provides a new way to incorporate ERP user data into RPM for more flexible filtering and notification scenarios.

Three new document-level fields are now included in every Get Price JSON call for the RPM ACU Connector: Document Number, Line Count, and ERP User. These JSON-only additions provide more context about the document and user at the time pricing is requested.

New Sync Maps have been added in RPM ACU to support the synchronization of Posted Documents, Posted Lines, and Posted Payments. These new sync options provide the data needed for Margin Analysis, a feature available as part of the Transform Tier.

The RPM ACU Connector now includes a Lock Unit Price setting in RPM Settings. When enabled, the Unit Price field is locked to prevent manual edits on quotes, orders, invoices, service orders, and appointments, helping enforce consistent RPM pricing.

The RPM ACU Connector now supports Built-In Document Attributes in RPM Settings. This enhancement adds user-labeled generic document attribute fields that can be passed in Get Price calls to provide additional pricing context. Available fields include 2 header-level string fields, 2 header-level numeric fields, 2 line-level string fields, and 2 line-level numeric fields. Users define the label for each field in RPM Settings, and those labels become the Document Attribute identifiers in the pricing payload. A new Built-In Document Attributes setting controls whether these fields are visible in the UI and included in pricing calls. This enhancement also includes a new Pass In Branch option within the Built-In Document Attributes section. When enabled, the connector sends the friendly Branch name rather than the Branch ID as a Document Attribute in the pricing call. Changes to these fields also trigger recalculation, with header-level fields recalculating the full document and line-level fields recalculating only the affected line.

The RPM ACU Connector now includes separate settings to enable or disable RPM pricing for specific document types. Users can control whether RPM is used for pricing on Opportunities, Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, Service Orders and Appointments. When enabled, pricing is calculated by RPM. When disabled, pricing is handled directly by Acumatica.

The RPM ACU Connector now displays RPM Alerts on Acumatica transactions after pricing is calculated. Users can quickly identify informational, warning, and error messages through line-level severity icons, while document-level messages are displayed separately for broader pricing conditions. Alerts also refresh on recalculation, improving visibility into pricing results and issues directly within Acumatica. Alerts are available with the Transform Tier of RPM.

To improve clarity, transaction grid actions have been renamed to better reflect RPM-generated data. View Diagnostics is now Price Diagnostics, and View Adjustments is now Price Computations, making it easier to understand where pricing details and calculations originate.

The RPM Acumatica Connector now includes Price Preview, giving users a clear, side-by-side comparison of pricing results across applicable RPM Schedules directly within Acumatica. This feature mirrors the powerful analysis tools available in RPM Test Scenarios, making it easier to validate pricing logic, review adjustments, and troubleshoot pricing behavior without switching systems. Price Preview is available in Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, Receivables Invoices, Opportunities, Service Orders and Appointments.

Users can now create Test Scenarios or Test Documents directly from a Diagnostic Log, allowing quick reproduction of the exact pricing conditions captured in the log. This provides a faster, more accurate way to diagnose and validate pricing behavior.

A Comment field has been added to the Computations grid to display an overview of how each computation line was calculated, making pricing results easier to understand and troubleshoot.

A new RPM Price Schedule field has been added to transaction lines, displaying the specific Price Schedule used by RPM to calculate pricing for each line. This field appears at the end of transaction lines for Sales Quotes, Sales Orders, Sales Invoices, Invoices, Opportunities, Service Orders, and Appointments, providing greater transparency into which pricing rules were applied during price calculation.

The RPM ACU Connector now extends its pricing capabilities to Opportunities within Acumatica. You can create Opportunity Transactions and leverage RPM Pricing, similar to how it functions with Sales Quotes, Orders, and Invoices. This new feature enables you to view RPM-calculated Price Adjustments, View Diagnostics, and Recalculate Prices based on RPM’s pricing calculations seamlessly.

A new checkbox, Override Acumatica Currency Conversion, has been added to the RPM Settings. When this checkbox is selected, Acumatica’s currency conversion process is bypassed. This is useful for situations where currency conversion is managed and tracked entirely within RPM, preventing Acumatica from performing any additional conversions. This feature is especially helpful if your currency pricing is maintained in RPM and you want to ensure consistency without Acumatica intervening.

The Data Sync process in RPM has undergone significant enhancements and a comprehensive redesign to improve efficiency, flexibility, and reliability. New features like Sync Map Preview, Sync Sets, and Sync Connectors have been introduced to streamline data synchronization between various systems. These updates provide more precise control, faster data processing, and enhanced troubleshooting capabilities, ensuring that your data is always up-to-date and accurately reflected across platforms.

A new page was created, RPM Sync Queues. The RPM Sync Queues will capture any Data Sync records that are processing, and will clear once they have passed to RPM. If a data sync does not complete, that record will remain in RPM Sync Queues and provides additional details on why the sync has failed.

A new setting. Get Price Input Option, has been added to RPM Settings, providing two choices for input values: Use Technical Record ID and Use Friendly Record Number.

•Use Technical Record ID: Utilizes the traditional identifiers, commonly known in RPM as the ERPID (e.g., CustomerID, ItemID).

•Use Friendly Record Number: Opts for more user-friendly identifiers, such as CustomerNumber and ItemName, making it easier to work with familiar names.

This enhancement allows users to choose between the technical ID’s as they’ve been used in the past or more intuitive, readable names when working with pricing inputs.

As part of the latest update, a standalone Customization Project, separate from the RPM Connector, has been created. This new project houses crucial Generic Inquiries (GIs) and Business Events. This project includes:

Important Note: If you need to customize any of the default GIs, it is crucial to create a copy and modify that instead. Overwriting the default GIs could result in your changes being lost during future updates or publishing. Creating a copy ensures that your customizations remain intact and unaffected by subsequent system updates.

By incorporating these fields into the GI and Reader, we’ve made it easier to map the correct cost field for a customer within RPM. This enhancement reduces the need for customization, making the GI and Sync Reader more universal and adaptable.

These cost fields are now part of the Query, providing flexibility in mapping without appearing as individual columns to map in RPM . This streamlined approach allows for quicker updates to the mapping process, ensuring that you can easily select the appropriate cost field as needed.here

The new Data Sync feature seamlessly integrates data from your ERP system into RPM, ensuring efficient and synchronized data transfer with minimal latency. Several new entities have been added under the ‘Tools’ section to facilitate this process. These include Sync Queues, Sync Maps, Sync Readers, Sync Writers, and System Jobs, all designed to work together to streamline your data synchronization needs.

RPM Settings area has been updated to accurately reflect recent changes in the interface between RPM and Acumatica. These updates include the addition of new fields that enhance functionality, as well as the remove of fields that are no longer utilized. These adjustments ensure that the settings remain streamlined and effective for current operational needs.
