A SQL User who may connect directly to SQL is best in order to run Crystal Reports. You may also use a Dynamics GP user, however, you would want to turn off password encryption in order to do so.
Note: This is a less productive method and is not typical. Most people just create a separate direct-login to SQL to run their Crystal reports.
