Here at Rockton we like to celebrate all things, big and small, that bring joy to our lives. We thought it would be fun to share our November celebrations with you and hopefully spread the joy around! Here are a few things the Rockton family celebrated this month.

For more than 10 years, our family has had a tradition of taking a trip for the week of Thanksgiving. This year, we spent the week pool side in Puerta Vallarta. It was so enjoyable to relax and reconnect with one another. The weather was fabulous, and made it hard to return to the cold and snow that fell in Denver!
Mark
Every Thanksgiving we take a family trip for the week with our now-adult kids. We find the travel and time together more beneficial and memory-making than “more stuff” at Christmas. Plus, if we travel internationally, it’s not crowded because Thanksgiving is only a US holiday, so lodging and attractions are not at peak prices.

I am celebrating the start of the ski season! My local mountain opened this month and I got my first day of the season in asap!

Celebrating a big birthday this month—trying to focus on gratitude for it rather than running from it.
