January 2025 Team Spirit

Jan 24, 2025

This month, the Rockton Software team decided to have a bit of fun before their collaboration meeting and play a quick game of Would You Rather. The question was: Would you rather blow a foot or more of snow, or untangle a giant ball of Christmas lights by yourself?

What would you pick? Read our team’s responses below!

Clearing the Snow

Jim

Depends on the area, but I’d probably take the snow. That’s a foot deep of snow, not a foot square of snow, right? So, it depends on how big of an area we’re talking about.

Dean

I’ve literally thrown away tangled-up Christmas lights instead of trying to undo them, so I’m taking the snow.

Kristyn

I’m also choosing the snow. My kids don’t like to be involved in the shoveling and prefer to sit inside, so it’s quieter and more peaceful outside. It’s dark when I go to shovel, so it’s quiet from other people, too. I do my whole driveway and will even scrape it to make sure it’s very clean. I bundle up and I get to stargaze – I’ll spend ten hours out there if I need to! The Christmas lights, though? Not a chance! There is no way I’d have the patience. I’d be so done with it by the time I’d have it untangled that I’d just take scissors to cut my way through instead.

Blake

I’m choosing the snow.

Kelli

I actually like to clear snow if it’s not too deep. I find it so satisfying.

Untangling the Lights

Kris

Lights for sure. You can untangle them inside next to a nice fire.

Kaleigh

I’ve never seen a foot of snow personally, but it’s definitely the Christmas lights for me. That’s super satisfying. They’re calling for three inches of snow where I live, though, and I’ve never been more excited. That would be the most snow I’ve ever seen!

Shawn

I’m going with the Christmas lights – definitely the Christmas lights.

Jenn

I’m going to have to choose the Christmas lights. I have a huge driveway, so I’ll only do it if I have extra time and it’s light snow.

Sheila

I’m picking the Christmas lights. I cleared snow yesterday and only got a third of the driveway done. I was wet from the snow, so I was done. It’d be alright if I could get out there on a snowmobile and then ride somewhere else, though.

Mark

I’ll take the giant ball of lights. That sounds like a good challenge!
