About Us
Rockton Software was started in 1999, when Mark Rockwell left a prominent Seattle-area Microsoft Dynamics GP reseller
to break out on his own as a consultant, specializing in customizations. As many people wonder, Rockton is a combination
of Mark Rockwell’s last name with his wife’s, Kelli Sexton (with the alternative name combinations reserved for other
lines of business).
Business grew as a result of Mark’s reputation for complete custom solutions and great customer service. Out of
customizations provided for clients, Crystal Integration was born in 2000. It quickly caught on in popularity with
many customers, and evolved into the Dynamics Report Manager available today. In 2001, Lookup Plus and Lookup
Pro (which would later become SmartFill, our most popular product) were created out of an obvious need to improve
data entry in Dynamics GP.
After our initial success, it was decided that Rockton would focus less on customizations and more on value added
enhancements that were simple in nature, brought value to end users, and were easy to support. To accomplish this
goal, Rockton grew out of its one-man-shop origin and hired its first employee in 2005. Rockton now boasts a full
virtual office with professionals to assist with sales and technical support.
Auditor was created in 2003 to address tracking data changes, shortly before the boom of SOX Compliance made auditing
necessary in many companies. Security Auditor was created in 2005 to address the complexities of auditing Dynamics GP
security.
Rockton acquired Omni Tools and Omni Price from Winthrop Dexterity Consultants in 2006. In 2010, Dynamics GP Toolbox
was created to combine Omni Tools, Conditional Field Level Security, Version Pro, and Mentor into one incredible
package of valuable tools, simplifying our product offerings.
Today, over 2,000 companies use Rockton Software representing over 30,000 users. Rockton has built its reputation
on great customer service and quality software. We make Dynamics GP work simpler and easier.
